What makes engineering paper different
Traditional engineering pads are pale green, translucent paper with the grid printed on the back, so it shows through faintly. You write on the smooth front, and the grid disappears when the page is photocopied. The standard grid is 0.2 in (5.08 mm) with a bold line every inch, so dimensions can be read at a glance.
A home printer can only print on one side at a time, so this version prints the grid lightly on a soft green field. Choose a paler colour if your pages will be scanned.

Why is engineering paper green?
Pale green reduces glare and eye strain during long calculation sessions, and the faint grid does not reproduce strongly on photocopiers.
How many squares per inch does engineering paper have?
Five, so each square is 0.2 in. GridForge also offers 10 per inch and a metric 5 mm version.
Can I remove the header?
Yes, untick “Name & date header” to use the full page for the grid.
